Trusting Again

Trust isn't declared — it's demonstrated through consistent behaviour over time: doing what you say you'll do, sharing what matters without being asked, and repairing honestly when something goes wrong.

A degree of jealousy is a very human response to caring about someone. When it becomes surveillance or control, it's usually signalling an old wound rather than a real problem in the current relationship.

British context: We're generally less expressive about jealousy than Southern European cultures — it often shows as withdrawal or passive-aggressiveness rather than outright confrontation. Naming it directly ("I'm feeling a bit insecure about this, actually") is more useful than letting it quietly fester.

Relate (0300 100 1234) offers relationship counselling across the UK and can be particularly helpful when trust issues are rooted in past experiences rather than current behaviour.
